I hope you all enjoyed your weekend! Now that you have all been here a while, this week, I'd like everyone to write a blurb about SHM as if you were describing it prospective members. Think about if you met a hospitalist who was not an SHM member...what would you say to them?
If I met a hospitalist that wasn’t a member of SHM, I would first tell them about our annual meeting in Vegas, HM14. I would explain the different types of courses we offer and what they teach. I would also explain to them how they can receive CME credits. Not only would they have access to all these courses with a discounted rate, they would also get general benefits of being a member. They would be able to network with other hospitalists and receive a free subscription to the hospitalist, access to the career center, coding services and much more.
